Its medium, thixotropic viscosity ensures controlled application. The product cures anaerobically, meaning it hardens when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air. Secondary cure can be accelerated with an activator.
The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE 243 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. This formulation provides robust curing performance. It works effectively on active metals, such as brass and copper. Moreover, it performs reliably on passive substrates like stainless steel and plated surfaces. The product offers high temperature performance and excellent oil tolerance.
