Momentive SNAPSIL™ RTV142 is a one-component silicone adhesive sealant designed to cure at room temperature into a tough, durable, low-volatility silicone rubber. It releases low-odor, non-corrosive methyl alcohol vapors during cure, making it particularly suitable for sensitive electronic sealing and gasketing applications where volatile condensable materials must be minimized. With a thixotropic paste consistency, RTV142 can be applied on vertical and overhead surfaces without sagging while offering outstanding electrical insulation, chemical resistance, and weatherability.
