Epoxylite® 478 is a single-component, UL-recognised, modified epoxy resin that is resilient and offers high chemical and moisture resistance, making it suitable for transformers. It is applied using Vacuum Impregnation (VI) or Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI), processes that guarantee full penetration. The component is vacuum-treated, covered in resin, processed (with overpressure for VPI), drained, and then cured in an oven.
