3M™ UV Activated Film 81025 is a UV-activated and curable film that provides semi-structural strength while handling like a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA). Delivered between two polyester silicone release liners, this clear, slightly yellow film creates precise, durable bonds with minimal shrinkage and excellent bond line visual appearance. With strong shear strength, high modulus, and a thin 25 μm profile, 3M™ UV Activated Film 81025 is a versatile solution for precision bonding applications.
Combining the advantages of three bonding technologies, 3M™ UV Activated Film 81025 offers stronger bonds than traditional tapes, easier application than liquid adhesives, and activation through UV light instead of heat. Before UV activation, the film behaves like a PSA, allowing easy die-cutting for thin, precise bonding. Upon UV activation, it achieves green strength within an hour and reaches full bond strength at room temperature within 24 hours. Its dual-linered configuration, featuring a clear 38 μm PET front liner and a clear 50 μm anti-static PET back liner, further enhances ease of handling. This film is ideal for bonding small components in devices such as laptop track pads, fingerprint sensors, smartphone cameras, automotive displays, heat-sensitive components, and more.
