3M™ UV Activated Film 81010 is a UV-activated and curable film that offers semi-structural strength while handling like a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA). Delivered between two polyester silicone release liners, this clear, slightly yellow film enables precise bonding with minimal shrinkage and excellent bond line visual appearance. It also provides good shear strength, high modulus, and a thin profile, making it a strong alternative to traditional bonding methods.
3M™ UV Activated Films and Tapes combine the benefits of three bonding technologies into one advanced adhesive solution. They deliver stronger bonds than standard tapes, are easier to apply than liquid adhesives, and activate with light instead of heat. Before UV activation, these films and tapes remain stable and tacky at room temperature, allowing them to be easily converted into precision die-cut parts. Once UV-activated, they develop bond strength at room temperature, achieving green strength within an hour and semi-structural bond strength within 24 hours.
These features make them ideal for bonding small components where high temperatures and pressures are a concern. 3M™ UV Activated Film 81010 is well-suited for applications such as laptop track pads, fingerprint sensors, smartphone cameras, automotive displays, enclosure bonding, heat-sensitive components, and more.
