3M™ High Temp Silicone Gasket is a rapid curing form-in-place silicone gasket adhesive and sealant developed specifically for automobile engines. This flexible, non-corrosive compound can withstand engine heat intermittently up to 600°F. It resists oil, water and ethylene glycol and is oxygen sensor safe. It is easy to apply and cures quickly for added efficiency. Only available in black.
Acting as both a flexible adhesive and a durable sealant for automobile engines, our 3M™ High Temp Silicone Gasket is a fast and cost-effective alternative to hard and/or custom gaskets. This versatile form-in-place engine gasket compound can be applied to areas including valve covers, oil and transmission pans, intake manifolds, water pumps, timing chain covers and thermostat housings — it can withstand heat intermittently up to 600°F (301° C). It is non-corrosive and resistant to oil, water and the ethylene glycol commonly used in engine coolants, helping to ensure a lasting seal between auto engine components. The material is also oxygen sensor safe. It is available only in the color black.
3M™ High Temp Silicone Gasket is easy and efficient to use: operators simply apply it to cleaned and prepped gasket surfaces. Engine parts can be reassembled immediately, and the engine can be started within 15 minutes of assembly for higher throughput. The gasketing compound works well with 3M™ Gasket Prep and Parts Cleaner PN 08901.
