Designed with versatility in mind, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-9370 B/A FST is a lightweight, low-density, two-component epoxy adhesive formulated for room temperature curing. This thixotropic, non-sag paste adhesive features a cured density below 0.7 g/cm³ and provides excellent handling characteristics. It offers a work life of 25 to 30 minutes at 23 ± 2 °C (based on 75g of mixed material) and achieves handling strength—defined as 2 MPa overlap shear strength—after just 4 hours at room temperature.
With a simple 2:1 mix ratio, this adhesive ensures robust mixing and easy dispensing, making it suitable for both bulk and cartridge dispensing systems. It is specifically designed for bonding typical aircraft interior materials, such as metals and honeycomb panels, where high strength and low density are essential. Common applications include honeycomb panel bonding (ditch and pot, cut and fold, mortise and tenon joints), insert potting, and honeycomb core reinforcement in aerospace interiors.
