Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Composite Surfacing Film AF 325 M, Blue is a thermosetting epoxy surfacing film designed to deliver excellent results on composite parts. It creates a smooth, void-free surface with minimal pinholes, significantly reducing the need for surface filling, fairing, or sanding operations during pre-paint preparation. This low-density surfacing film simplifies the finishing process while improving overall surface quality.
Available in both white and blue versions, the film provides color contrast to the underlying composite prepreg, enhancing visual inspection and process control. It is co-cure compatible with most epoxy composite prepreg systems at both 250°F (121°C) and 350°F (177°C). With an operational performance range from -67°F (-55°C) to 300°F (149°C), AF 325 M, Blue is well-suited for demanding aerospace and composite applications.
For optimal results during application, the paper liner should be removed, leaving the poly liner in place to minimize contamination and improve conformability during handling and placement.
