The General Descriptions of Von Roll Corona Shield P 8003
Von Roll Corona Shield P 8003 is a conductive varnish for slot corona protection. It is composed of an alkyd resin with a conductive graphite filler. This product is intended for use up to class 155°C and is suitable for both Resin Rich (RR) and Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) processed machines.

Thermal class rating of 155°C.
Compatible with epoxy anhydride systems.
Provides a surface resistivity ranging from 150 to 650 Ohm.
Supplied ready for use in cans of 1, 5, or 25 kg.
The General Applications
Recommended for use in machines with a rated voltage ≥ 1 kV.
Adds a conductive layer on the straight portion of high voltage coils to control electric stress and dissipate any surface corona discharge.
Shorts out the air gap, ensuring all of the electrical stress will occur across the solid insulation.
Prevents external corona by applying a conductive coating varnish on the main wall insulation.
Can be easily applied with a brush to all surfaces.
