3M™ Very Low Outgassing Polyester Seal Tape 6692 is a polyester backed, single coated sealing tape for hard disk drive assembly and related electronics sealing applications.

  • Bleeds static charge rapidly to reduce risk of product damage due to electrostatic discharge
  • Low water vapor transmission rate provides an effective contamination barrier
  • Low outgassing & low extractable ionic content helps reduce risk of chemical contamination
  • Clean removability from a wide variety of substrate materials eliminate cleanup during rework operations

APPLICATIONS

  • Sealing of Hard Disk Clamshells.
  • Sealing of other electronic devices or instrumentation requiring a low outgassing adhesive tape product.
  • Other permanent applications requiring an exceptionally high chemical purity, single coated tape.
