3M™ has recently made a significant announcement that is set to impact various industries: by the close of 2025, the company will cease the production of all fluoropolymers, fluorinated fluids, and products containing PFAS-based additives. This decision marks the end of an era for 3M’s specialized product lines as Novec coating, cleaning and cooling can be mentioned recognized Novec™ series—such as Novec™ 1700, 1702, 7100, 7200, 7300, 71DE, 72DE, 71DA, 72DA, 73DE, FC 3283, FC 40, among others—that have long been valued for their unique properties and applications across a range of sectors.

Description of Techspray Precision-V 3283 Coolant
Techspray® has formulated Precision-V 3283 to be a direct, drop-in replacement for 3M FluorinertTM FC-3283. Precision-V Electronics Liquid are nonflammable with no flash-point. Precision-V is non-ozone depleting, so ideal replacements for many single-phase heat transfer applications in the semiconductor manu[1]facturing industry. Its liquid range (-82°C to 124°C) makes it ideal for a variety of applications such as etchers, ion implanters, testers and others. Other uses include heat transfer for data centers, high performance computing, power electronics and aviation electronics. Precision-V 3283 liquid is also used for electronics testing and as an inert reaction media. Because Precision-V 3283 is primarily a single compound, its composition will not shift or fractionate with time. This keeps fluid loss to a minimum enabling transport properties to remain unchanged.
