Product Introduction
ELPECAST® Wepuran VT 3402 KK series offers a large variety in terms of viscosity, colours, processing time, and pot life. It includes numerous hardness and elasticity adjustments that cover the full range of Shore hardness, with good resistance against water, moisture, lyes, acids, and many chemicals. Elastic adjustments serve as a low-cost alternative for silicone casting compounds. The series is crystal-clear and highly transparent with very high optical transparency and low optical damping. It delivers very good weather resistance, extraordinary UV light stability, and good thermal resistance. Designed for outdoor use or underwater applications, it is ideal for flexible LED strips, aluminium profiles, and more. Transparent colouring can be achieved using dyestuff concentrates. VT 3402 OPAL significantly reduces the colour temperature shift of LEDs that occurs with transparent casting compounds, while an even light diffusion effect can be realised with VT 3402 OPAL or the opaque top coat VT 3492 LS. Recommended auxiliary products include Accelerating Agent B 4402, adhesion promoters AP 4 LED and EH 13.950/EH 13.951, sealing mastic EH 13.271, mould release agent EH 13.650, and cleaning agent R 13.780.
