Bostik AU589V 1K Urethane Acrylate Adhesive, 6 oz cartridge is a high-performance, one-component, solvent-free, light-cure gasket material. This advanced Bostik AU589V Urethane Acrylate Adhesive offers exceptional flexibility and toughness, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments. It creates robust, reliable water and dustproof seals for diverse applications, including sensitive electronic components. Its rapid curing capability significantly enhances manufacturing efficiency and reduces overall production costs, providing a competitive edge.
General Information of Bostik AU589V Urethane Acrylate Adhesive
This product is formulated with a urethane acrylate base, ensuring a balance of strength and elasticity. It presents as a viscous violet paste in its uncured state. Upon exposure to UV light, it undergoes a rapid curing process, transforming into a dark green, durable material within seconds. This fast-cure mechanism is ideal for high-volume production environments, enabling faster throughput and reduced work-in-progress. Manufacturers can dispense this material using various automated systems, including air, mechanical, and jet valves, ensuring precise and consistent application. Proper substrate preparation, ensuring surfaces are clean and free of contaminants, is crucial for optimal adhesion and long-term performance.
For best results, apply Bostik AU589V at temperatures between 20°C and 30°C. Recommended curing involves high-pressure mercury lamps or metal halide lamps with a UV-A irradiation dose of 4000-6000 mJ/cm² or more. UV-LED lamps with wavelengths below 365 nm are also suitable. After curing, compress the gasket at a 20% to 50% ratio to achieve reliable waterproof performance.
