AXIS-931 is a medical device adhesive engineered for rapid bonding of plastics. This advanced formulation cures quickly upon UV light exposure, enabling significantly faster processing and increased output. It consequently reduces manufacturing costs for critical medical components, enhancing overall production efficiency.
General Information of AXIS-931
AXIS-931 is an acrylated urethane-based adhesive. It presents as a clear, low-viscosity liquid. Its viscosity ranges from 250 to 450 cps at 25°C. This ensures precise and controlled application in intricate assemblies. This material cures rapidly through exposure to UV/visible light. It facilitates high-speed production cycles. Furthermore, it contains no nonreactive solvents. This promotes a cleaner and safer manufacturing environment.
This adhesive specifically bonds rigid or flexible PVC to polycarbonate. It does not induce stress cracking under typical molded stress levels. It also demonstrates excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. These include glass, numerous plastics, and most metals. Consequently, AXIS-931 is ideal for assemblies requiring close-fitting tolerances and small gaps. It ensures robust and reliable bonds. It complies with the Limit of Volatile Organic Compounds content in adhesives. This meets the GB 33372-2020 National Standard of the People’s Republic of China.
Key Features & Technical Benefits
- Rapid UV/Visible Light Cure: This feature enables instantaneous curing upon exposure, significantly accelerating production throughput and reducing cycle times.
- Moisture Resistant: The cured adhesive exhibits excellent resistance to moisture, ensuring long-term durability and performance in diverse operational environments.
- ISO 10993-5 Qualified: AXIS-931 has undergone qualification to the ISO 10993-5 Protocol, assisting in product selection for biocompatible medical device applications.
- Stress Cracking Resistance: It bonds rigid or flexible PVC to polycarbonate effectively, crucially without inducing stress cracking, preserving material integrity.
- Versatile Substrate Adhesion: This adhesive forms strong bonds with a broad range of materials, including glass, various plastics, and most metals, offering extensive application flexibility.
