Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive EC-9356 B/A FST is a two-part, fast-curing epoxy paste adhesive specifically designed for bonding common aircraft interior materials, including metals, thermoplastics such as PEI and PEEK, thermosets, and composites. This adhesive is ideal for a wide range of applications such as honeycomb panel bonding—including ditch and pot, cut and fold, and mortise and tenon joints—along with insert bonding and metal-to-honeycomb bonding.
Formulated for interior aerospace applications, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ EC-9356 B/A FST does not contain halogens or antimony and complies with the latest flammability, smoke density, and toxic gas emission standards, meeting the requirements of FAR/JAR/CS 25.853(a) Appendix F, Part I(a)(1)(ii) and Airbus ABD0031.
The adhesive cures to handling strength (achieving 2 MPa overlap shear strength) within 2 hours at room temperature. It features a thixotropic, non-sag formula with low exotherm characteristics, making it suitable for vertical or overhead applications without excessive heat buildup during cure. Available in 50ml and 200ml cartridges as well as bulk packaging, it offers flexible dispensing options. This product is also designed for storage at room temperature, ensuring easy inventory management and readiness for use.
