Description of 3M Novec 73DE Replacement – Coven FP2173DE
COVEN FP2173DE is developed as a drop-in replacement for trichloroethylene, nPB, and other solvents with high health, safety, and environmental impacts. While significantly reducing the HSE impact, it provides equivalent degreasing power. This fluid is designed to remove heavy oils, greases, waxes, particles, and fluorinated lubricants. Depending on the nature of polymerized materials, it can also remove some varnishes, adhesives, inks, and paints. COVEN FP2173DE is compatible with all metals, including very sensitive ones, and has good compatibility with most plastics and elastomers, though validation before use is recommended. Its very low surface tension allows it to penetrate and clean very tight or difficult-to-access spaces.
