EXP.164-02-10 Advanced Epoxy Potting Compound
EXP.164-02-10 is an advanced two-component, transparent epoxy designed for demanding internal potting and casting applications, particularly as a solution for smart rings. This halogen-free, anti-yellowing formulation delivers excellent optical transmittance of $>99%$ (550-1000nm). It offers a low mix viscosity of 100-200 cps and an extended working time of 150 minutes. The compound cures at a low temperature of $60^{\circ}\text{C}$ in 6 to 8 hours and provides high rigidity, achieving a Shore Hardness of 80D with a low elongation of 3-5%. Like the other ITW solutions, its stable 4%-5% shrinkage rate helps reduce cracking problems. The biocompatibility of this product is currently under testing.
