Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Acrylic Adhesive DP8405NS is a non-sag, tough, two-part acrylic adhesive designed for high-performance bonding applications. This adhesive provides excellent adhesion to many plastics and metals, including those with slightly oily surfaces. It features a fast rate of strength build, achieving structural strength in just minutes, making it ideal for fast-paced assembly environments.
The adhesive offers a 10:1 mix ratio and a 5-minute work life, allowing for quick adjustments and precise placement before setting. It can develop 1,000 psi (7 MPa) of overlap shear strength within approximately 20 minutes, significantly improving throughput and productivity. This adhesive also includes spacer beads to control bond line thickness and maintains high peel, shear, and impact strength, even on minimal surface preparation. The product is available in Duo-Pak (DP) cartridges for convenient dispensing with 3M applicator equipment.
