3M™ Scotch® High-temperature Masking Tape 214 is good for 30 minutes at 350°F (177°C) on most surfaces. The adhesive is sulfur-free which makes it one of the few tapes that can be used on copper, silver and other precious metals.
FEATURES
- Has excellent stain resistance.
- Adhesive is very firm and allows it to be used on most treated metals.
- Scotch® Tape 214 complements Scotch® Tape 213 in high temperature masking tape usage and should be evaluated at the same time.
- Will generally withstand bake cycles up to 350°F (177°C) for 30 minutes – even on treated metals. Performance is governed by total time, temperature, surface tape is applied to, and any other coatings and conditions.
- Should not be subjected to outdoor exposure or prolonged periods of sunlight exposure as tape may become very dicult to remove.
APPLICATIONS
Can be used in a wide variety of high heat, treated metal, and stain resistant applications. It is generally considered only when one of these factors is a problem.
